What is Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS)?
Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS) is an autoimmune neuromuscular disorder
That affects the nerve cells in the body and causes them to release less than normal amounts of a chemical called acetylcholine which affects the muscles. The disease can often cause muscle weakness, fatigue, shortness of breath, as well as other symptoms including joint and muscle pain.
